“zero spills and zero incidents”

Safety

Safety is of the utmost importance to us here at SeaHarbor, and we are proud of our no incidents/no spills track record. We put safety first in all of our marine logistics and services, protecting our clients, our staff, our community, and our environment here in the Caribbean.
Supplies at Sea

Health, safety, security, and environment (HSSE) management systems and sustainability are our top priority. We implement HSSE systems in all of our activities and continually look for ways to improve our processes and make our industry even safer.

All water transport activities are undertaken in keeping with guidelines from the ADN, which is the European agreement concerning the international carriage of dangerous goods by water. We also strictly follow the IMDG code.

Road Transport

Similarly, all road transport activities are done in accordance with the ADR, which is the European agreement on the carriage of dangerous goods by road.

Before undertaking any processes or activities, we identify and analyze potential risks and take all necessary steps to avoid, prevent, control, and limit them.

Certifications

SeaHarbor remains current on all relevant industry standards and certifications, including:

  • Floating material certification
  • Pumps certification
  • Safety and rescue equipment certification
  • Fork lift driver certification
  • Certified cranes, lifting straps, drum clamps, pallet hooks, and tensioning straps
  • Staff safety and training

We also undergo an extensive checklist before the pumping and delivery of lubricants and supplies. In addition, we have standard operating procedures for all activities that pose a risk for accident or spillage, including loading, unloading, and stowage. In addition, we keep our crew members safe by requiring safety shoes, helmets, gloves, hearing protection, and face/eye protection.

Because our entire delivery process is managed by one company, we are able to control a number of external variables that would otherwise inject risk into the equation. We manage our own shipping deliveries, truck deliveries, goods receipt (both containers and partial loads), storage of supplies and goods (in our own warehouse), customs formalities, repacking, palletizing for transport, and even the servicing of our vessels and vehicles. In doing so, we keep you, your assets, and your reputation safe.

SeaHarbor applies high European standard of excellence and safety to all of our marine supply and service work here in the Caribbean. We have extensive experience with international safety regulations and are committed to keeping Curacao and the surrounding areas safe and free of accidents. We are not satisfied unless we are providing just-in-time services with no accidents or damages. To that end, we invest in ongoing education and training for our staff and have been designated by the Dutch S-BB as a recognized training company.
